Platform Elite runs tryouts on Callback.

Platform Elite is a 33-team club in Bettendorf, Iowa. In 2026 it ran its whole tryout on Callback, from the first rating to the final rosters.

Before Callback

Platform Elite had tried other tryout apps. Each time, the coaches went back to notes on paper, the director re-entered everything into a spreadsheet at night, and families in the gym waited on results.

Tryout day

Before the first session, the club's registration spreadsheet was already loaded, with age groups, shirt numbers, positions and check-ins from the same sheet the front desk uses. Coaches rated court-side on their own phones, two taps per rating. When the gym Wi-Fi dropped, the ratings kept saving on the phones and uploaded once the connection came back. Over the club's tryout dates, 15 coaches entered 10,003 ratings on 576 players. None were lost.

After tryouts

While coaches rated, the director watched the rankings fill in, weighted by position and sorted for 6v6 court placement. The club sent its offers from the same list, tracked who accepted and who declined, and built all 33 teams with jersey numbers and coach assignments. The rosters were built from the scores all 15 coaches entered.

Next season

Callback keeps each player's evaluations from season to season, so a returning player's history is there the next time the club holds tryouts. Platform Elite now runs tryouts, offers and rosters on Callback.
